The good people at remedy were paid an extra 8 million as incentive from their publisher to have the game finished by next year.

As it stands the release date is graemlins/wid.gif but it's safe to assume a release date of sometime next year (2003).

Confirmed. There will be a sequel to Max Payne. However:

The good people at remedy were paid an extra 8 million as incentive from their publisher to have the game finished by next year.<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">We haven't been paid that particular sum - yet. It's a conditional incentive which depends on the timely release of the game.

If you guys ever needed an incentive to finish a game quick this is it! Just think of how many painkillers you could buy with that!

Painkillers? I measure everything in jars of herring in mustard sauce. (yes, we could buy quite a few of those as well)

Oh, I thought all you guys eat is surströmning. Should be opened under at least 6 cubic meters of heavy water in a filter-ventilated hermetic environment. Wearing protective clothing and a gas mask is recommended.

U know, talking about mp2, i jus rembered something that i thought of a couple of days ago... THAT RUSSIAN GUY IS THE BAD GUY!! images/icons/shocked.gif Max escapes from prison. That guy who says he can help max gets killed, by the russian guy, max is chased by the cops again, becuase Wooden (thats his name!!) couldn't clear his name on time, and is also getting chased around by the russian mafia, hired to kill Wooden (and you) by that guy who knew Jack Lupino but you didn't kill cause he told you wher he was (he is seeking revenge.) and that russian guy didn't really care for max , jus wanted him to kill Lupino and get his ship...huff-puff..or Max can jus wake up and it was all a dream...

Come on!!! Max Payne was/is not that good. It's good but not that good. Did you ever notice how the game goes in circles? Althought hat's really a matter of opinion.

When It's released I'll probably pick it for my collection sake but I don't think I'll ever play it.

Speaking of Max Payne. Is their a Tradition Jewel case version? I barely touched the case it came in and it's falling apart. Tradinal Jewel cases are also easier to store.

You gotta be kidding me! Jewel cases will threaten to break if you even look at them funny. Stick with the DVD cases...

I could bring some lutefisk from Norway that would make you hide and hold your breath.<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Lutefisk? What's that? Does its preparation involve a swamp, moose droppings and leather shoe juice?

(I heard that German tourists actually buy moose droppings as souvenirs from Sweden...)
