Okay I think Take 2 should contact Discreet and make a game pack of Max Payne2 for GMax. Since modding is another way to expand the utility of a game,it shouldn't be too costly like 3d Studio Max too.I'm sure it wont take too long to make that pack coz 3d Studio Max and GMax is so much similar only most of the un-necessary tools in Max is not present in GMax.And GMax is not so un-interesting like Milkshape too. That wd really help a lot for all the Max Payne modding people to mod.

I can't see Take 2 investing in getting this thing done for, arguably, a small modding community. That said, a max payne 2 modding pack, or whatever, would probably be in Discreet's intrest, since it would reduce software piracy somewhat. But again, we're talking low numbers, anyway.
Fingers crossed, I suppose. images/icons/smile.gif

Hi guys,
I went there but it seems like i have to order a demo. Maybe I just can't spotthe darn link ..
images/icons/frown.gif This is fairly crappy now, my mod progression has came to a halt 0_o :..(
perhaps you guys might now another place for a "demo." Btw, I am using Xp, and eachtime i install it prompts me to install a c-dilla managing system, and if i don't it won't run... can I get rid of cdilla somehow and make the program work? thanks.

Sorry, I expect that bypassing or removing c-dilla would infringe legal copyright issues, and that's something which shouldn't be discussed here. However, the last time I checked, there was a thread about the so-called copy protection software in the general software forum. It might have gotten deleted though, you'll need to check.

I just read about the GMax thing on their site -- smart move by Discreet; but again, it's up to Remedy and/or Take 2 as to whether or not they implement it.
I didn't check for certain; but while the gamer's version of GMax is free, the GMax Dev kit version probably costs quite a bit. In which case, they'd just be paying Discreet an additional cost, for the sole purpose of preventing the piracy of Discreet's software. The only benefit to the Remedy/Take 2 side is that they can use it as an additional selling point -- i.e. that the game meets a user-editing/modding standard.
To be quite blunt, Remedy could probably get away with releasing mp2 with the exact same amount of modding tools as the first game -- perhaps less, and still pull in the same amount of sales revenue. As unlikely as it sounds, it's possible -- better keep your toes crossed too.
