I did a search for this, and nothing came up. So, I'm posting to see if anyone else noticed.
an•a•gram: A word or phrase formed by reordering the letters of another word or phrase, such as "satin" to "stain".
I love anagrams. They’re a fun way to pass time.
Last year, my second or third time playing through Max Payne, I was reading the graphic novel and I noticed that the name Kyra Silver (she's the news reporter, for those of you who can't remember) is an anagram. It spells out "Valkyr Rise". It's also only one letter off from being "Aesir" instead of "Rise". (Maybe Kyra's middle initial is "A". images/icons/tongue.gif )
Did anyone else see that? I don't know why I waited so long to post this. I suppose I was too scared that someone had already noticed.

Did anyone else see that? <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">NO!? images/icons/tongue.gif
Sorry, but I was too pre-occupied with diving about and blasting people in slow motion.

But it's cool that there's much more to the Max Payne plot, than just the surface story. images/icons/smile.gif

I like "A Beatnik Short", however. There's a grahpic novel about heroes called the "Mutant Street Beatniks". I used to refer to myself as one. images/icons/smile.gif

I remember doing a lot of anagrams on the forum before max payne came out.
I can't seem to find any of the old threads I started, but here are a few others.

It's too bad none of the other names in Max Payne work well as anagrams.

Mona Sax - No as Max.
Makes no sense whatsoever, but it's still an anagram!

I honestly didn't think pointing out the anagram was that obsessive when I posted this.

I emailed Remedy about it, and Petri said that no, it's a coincidence.

Obsessive? I have a Remedy logo on my left buttcheek, I don't consider that obsessive...
Having one on each WOULD be...
