This is long so bear with me. I only need one of the questions answered at the bottom.
I have encountered two causes of freezes in a mod. One is when switching from sniper to another custom gun. Max fails to go into his switch animation, causing the game to freeze. The next is when he dodges backward matrix style(kung fu 3)...and completely empties his ammo for a particular gun before he gets up, he freezes while going into his getbackup animation. Both problems seem related to a modeswitch or reload for a particular weapon.
I solved the sniper weapon freeze by switching one of the custom weapons to slot 5 instead of 6.
-My question.....is this related to missing or poor references to animation frames for a custom weapon?
-Or is it related to re-numbering the characteranimation.id file?
-Or was the weapon poorly animated in the first place?
