In the export window of MS3D, choose .3DS
Ok, but how about all the stuff about installing the plug-ins and all that?
How can I export weapons and all the other stuff to 3d max stuido. I read the help modding file and tried doing what it said. But then it didn't work. I jus need somebody to explain me how to do it.

Theres a readme in the Max-FX tools folder. Look at that.

^I think he said had already.
Follow the txt file to the letter, but copy the file called "rlmfc.dll" to your 3dsmax directory.
e.g. C:\Program Files\3dsmax\
That'll get the exporters working, but remember that they're only exporters. If you want to import kf2 geometry into 3ds Max, you need to export as a .3ds file, from Milkshape - like Akari said.

The only Max Payne-related-plugins-for-3ds max (phew what a word images/icons/tongue.gif ) are export-only. For importing in 3ds, yes, you have to go through Milkshape.
thanks for clearing that for me
Is there any way to get importers for Max studio? Or do I always going to be using milkshape and Max stuidos at the same time. If that's the case, what's the point of having max studio then? Does it make exporting things easier or what?
I meant importers plug-ins, or whatever they are called
