Best NYM Shortcuts

Ok, guys. Anssi and Marvel both got NYM scores around 46-47 mins. The only way to do that is to find a lot of shortcuts from the game.

This would be a good place to post any shortcuts you've found.

I'll get us started:

In the second Hotel map, once you've gotten out of the elevator and run past the 4 guys talking around the table, you can bypass the next room by running through the door that the badguys open, thus easily saving like 10-15 seconds or so images/icons/smile.gif

In Cold Steel, you can save a lot of time if you bypass the bridges and run along the ledges on the opposite side.

Btw. I'd say that any time below 1h 10 minutes is already an excellent performance. My personal score on NYM is 57 minutes images/icons/smile.gif

Holy S***! You guys are good. I dominated all three difficulties, but not NYM. It's just really hard. ANd there's no real payoff for me when I complete it....................(is there?)

The only pay-off is the timescore (which is shown for each part). What kinda scores do you get?

Uh give me some time to get back to ya on that....I just beat all three Diff. so I'm taking a break playing less intense games like Half Life and Rogue Spear...I'll let ya know!

I had these times , i sometimes took a long time to proceed , but i needed it for painkillers images/icons/smile.gif

Part 1 Chapter 4 : 8min 43sec
Part 1 Chapter 6 : 13min 47sec
Part 2 Chapter 3 : 28min 58sec
Part 3 Chapter 2 : 56min 54sec
Part 3 Chapter 6 : 1hour 16min 18sec

TOTAL TIME : 1hour 32min 40sec

Is this pretty good , i have played out Hard-Boiler and Fugitive , but i stoped playing Dead on Arrival , i hate save limites images/icons/smile.gif

And , Great Game , gives me more faith 3DRealms will only bring good games , even if they did not work on it images/icons/wink.gif

I never really kill enemies in NYM unless have to, also the thing is to just run straight and not care about stuff elsewhere in the rooms - they just get you distracted and make loose time (i.e. no picking up painkillers from medcabs images/icons/smile.gif ).

Under 45 minutes total is easily achievable, getting Part 1 under 16 minutes also (but will be very hard to get there - I won't try it unless somebody first beats my 16 mins 9 seconds images/icons/smile.gif ).
