V-Heads and Bullet Time

I just started playing MP and noticed that by whacking the V-heads I increase my bullet time. My question is, are there any consequences to killing the V-heads? It seems like a no risk way to increase your bullet time buy wanted to know if doing so would cause something bad to happen later on. Please let me know.

No risk, it just takes ammo (but it's worth it for the scream images/icons/grin.gif )
