Stuck on chapter 7" police brutality

the scene on the roof where there are 2 guys you
shoot, thru the skylight. At that point you need to jump down thru the skylight, on to some boxes
"right" I have done this successfully twice but the other 20 times the game keeps wiping me out! Can anyone tell me the secret to this? There also is a door on that same roof but will only open a crack and is blocked shut by a steel beam
so you cannot get thru it. Any advise will be cool!! images/icons/mad.gif images/icons/confused.gif

did not really answer this particular ? but it will come in handy I'm sure. BTW the skylight scene is pictured on that site and it says to "Drop Down" after killing the two thugs.I think the reason I keep getting wiped out there is becuse I am "Jumping" through the skylight instead of dropping down. I"ll give it another try. Thanks again for the input.

After braking the glass toss a grenade in to the left it should cause the tanks to explode taking out one if not both of the bad guys

The skylight scene is one of my most favourite parts of the game. The first time I did it, I whipped out both my Ingrams and made Swiss cheese of the thugs. Here's a cool thing to see:

After shooting the thugs, drop down and collect all the goodies you need. Then position yourself so that you're facing the gas tanks at the far end of the room but your back is near the door you'll be exiting. Now shoot the tank and when the one sitting on the crate starts to shoot towards you do a slo-mo shootdodge to the left while panning the camera around. 3D never looked so beautiful!!

So if you got to the roof, how the heck did you get past the oscillating red motion detector beams in the hallway in chpt 7? Just a little help, please.
