Having trouble shooting the second string...help. cant shoot through the door. can i open it?

can't shoot the door... you need a sniper rifle to accuratly take it out... that's what I used... I'm sure you can use any weapon though

And don't stand in front of the door, stand on the ledge of the first cable. From there you have a much better view to shoot the second cable.

You don't actually need the sniper rifle. You can lob a grenade, or use the m79. But you have to be good at "horseshoes" to do it. I always waste all my sniper ammo dealing with the laser traps in the elevator earlier in that level, so I always find myself having to play horseshoes with a damned grenade. images/icons/grin.gif

One m79 will cause the tower to topple as well.
