I dont know how long it took all of you but I was obsessed with Max Payne when I got it. I just couldnt stop playing it. One the first night I played it for about 5 hours, then went to bed , woke up and played it until I finished it.
Anyone find it addictive?

Yup, me. images/icons/smile.gif
But not as much as modifying it - I've been known to work on it for over 24 hours solid before. images/icons/smile.gif

Man talk about being obsessed over the full game, I was obsessed over the demo itself, that was the ONLY thing I played for a whole week before I bought it.
And now Max Payne is the only thing I am playing rite now. Funny that, I like new mods which have new weapons and the kung fu sort of, but I usually play them on the original levels.......dunno why but I find them more fun than the custom made levels.....sorry, that'sanother topic images/icons/grin.gif
Anyways, this is the only game that has urged me to start modding

i got a game for you if you want to mod. it is so much easyier to mod for in comparisian to max payne and it has multi play mode on the internet. but it still it does hold a candel to max.the game im talking about is "red faction". i use to mod for red faction,omg it was so easy to do all you needed was word pad and and a couple custem programs. but to answer your question defenitly use 3dsmax but the only down side of this program is it cost around $3,500 and no i'm not kidding i used it to make new weaps for rf...
The game can be very addicting, but I would agree with Maddieman on the fact that modding is even worse. This is mainly due to this scenario;
Think of a cool idea, make it in 3ds or MaxEd, test it in game, tweak it, test it, scrap it for better idea, tweak it, test it, etc... You get the point.
And as for shadow_ninja;
Umm...nobody asked a question about what program they should use to modify Max Payne. But thanks for your...insight?

Oh man, for me it was exactly the opposite. I couldn't even finish it, I stopped in the middle of part 2. The game was wayyy repetitive. I only finished when the kung fu mod came out. Thank god for that.
