Thanks,

It's tough but it can be done. You have to do a lot of shoot dodging. The technique I used was to head to eather side and try to get into the back hallway where they all are coming from and take them down like ducks in a row. Then the guys from the other side turn around and try to get you from the other side of the hallway. Then you only have them coming at you in one long line.
Lot easier than having them all spread out coming at you from two differant directions.

What you do is once you come out, you take some molotov cocktails and throw it at them, at the heart of the line, they all burst into flames and die, then roll backwards and switch weapons to the Colt Commando and blow some of them away. Just don't get surrounded. graemlins/wid.gif

I don't think you can avoid getting surrounded. The time that I actually won, I first went to the right side, took out 5 or 6 with Colt Commando. By this time, the crowd from the left was coming to help. I got a moltov and used it to somewhat block the main path on the right side--I think the moltov got 2 or 3. I popped some painkillers and ran back toward the beginning, around the central glass room, and took out 3 goons on the left side. I turned back to find the mob that had gone around the moltovs. I fired a few shots then turned back to the left side--another mob. Fortunately, the mob on the right side followed me toward the middle, and I was able to circle around to the right side behind them, leaving them between myself and the left-side mob. I collected a little bit of Jackhammer ammo and popped a few pills. Finally, the 7 or 8 that remained were all somewhat together, in front of me. A couple of them were killed by friendly fire. I managed to dive backwards a couple of times and take out the rest. In general, though, I found shootdodging in the bonus level counter-productive at times. It's a nice technique, but in the time it takes to get back to your feet, you get completely destroyed.

I'm new to the forums here, so I guess I missed it. But to what bonus level do you refer to? Where is it?, and how do you get it? What chapter and part? I've beaten the game on it's initial setting and am looking for new stuff to do on the Hard Boiled setting. So this bonus level sounds like a cool thing to try for.

Throughout the game there are ways of doing things that work well, and other ways that get you nowhere. In the bonus, secret, level, I spent a great deal of time getting bumped off, before discovering a "hidden" feature (and its not the one shot MP3 in the control room). Thereafter, it took only three attempts to get through, without even one save. I'm not going to reveal the tactic except to give a clue: What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over. Remeber, the creators must give you a way out or else no one will play the game.
