You need to shoot the cable at its bottom end, where it joins with the 'jutty-out-bits'.

Help, I am trying to shoot the far cable with the sniper gun, but it is not working. Is there a specific spot I am suppose to be standing.

You had not only to shoot at the bottoms of the cables, but also to fire at the tower with MP5.

Yes, it is possible to hit the last cable with the sniper rifle from that distance, but its hard. You can get the cable easier from a ledge that gives you a better shot at the bottom of the cable where its attatched to the building. Jump out to the ledge and you should be able to hit it with the submachine gun or Colt commando. Don't forget to shoot the tower after you shoot the cable to give it the xtra little nudge to fall over.

The eight chapter of part 3 is nothing nice i'll tell ya. I shot the first cable after exiting the stairs. Then I go to the gate near the 4 men, but its so difficult to shoot through the gate and hit the cable with a time limit. I always run out of time. I also tried the ledge, but I fall off the building. I give up. The hardest parts in the game to me are the blood maze and chapter 8 in part 3.

I know that there is a grenade launcher in MAX PAYNE, so there wouldn't be any need for a rocket launcher. Although a guided missile would be nice. For example, the Nakita missile in METAL GEAR SOLID. Maybe you people at 3D Realms can take that into consideration. I think it would be a great idea. The only flaws I can think of is that it might take the challenge out of the game. If you can hide in one room and kill the enemy in the other, this might make bullet time unnecessary for use in the game. Its just an idea. Feel free to reply and tell me what you think!
