i love max payne, but really. in real life NYC if you walk around for 5 hours and you dont meet a black person you better ask yourself if you are in an episode of the twilight zone. I think max payne had ONE black person in the ENTIRE GAME, of 50-100 hours of new york city walking-around. Maybe there were like 4 or 5 chinese people. The rest? White as white can be, and almost all ITALIAN for that matter.
Now I know you Finns dont have a whole lot of skin tone and so forth up there, but PULEEASE.
One would almost think it was a racist game.

ever considerd there is a mayor snowstorm going on so no "innocent" bystanders are going outside.
but i seem to remember a lot of different types of people ranging from black to chinese and even girls images/icons/grin.gif

Although Max Payne is supposed to be set in New York, there are no landmarks, special places or true real-life locations of that city. It could as well have been called Remedypolis, but then nobody would have bought the game.
True, there is only one brother in the whole game (the first member of Punchinello's trio) but it's not like is actually hurts the game. The same thing can be true for any episode of Friends. I think I've seen one asian chick during all those years.

thats because friends is a meaningless piece of crap. max payne is shakespeare. 'the sun set with practiced bravado'.

Please. Stop talking nonsense and get back on topic. I said Friends like I would have said any sitcom without black guys to illustrate a point. Sheesh. images/icons/rolleyes.gif

the topic: imagine star wars without jedi. thats what you do if you make NYC without non-caucasians.

Max Payne is walking mostly in the Mafia's area when he's in the outdoor territories, as I've seen in Mafia movies Italians don't tend to like other races that well, hence I don't think they'll want to hang out in their territories. Most other areas are in connection with Horne and so on + they've used the snowstorm backing well, I don't think it's that unrealistic to not see any non-caucasians...

I always thought those guys with hoods on were African-American.Then one died in slo-mo...hes not black.
by virtue of a "brilliant" thread title, i find it impossible to take your thread seriously. Sorry bro images/icons/tongue.gif
Haven't you guys seen the TV show Friends?
There arent any black people in New York. images/icons/tongue.gif
Its probably because they just used staff members and random people from around where they are for photo source, and I don't think Finland is overflowing with blacks. images/icons/grin.gif

Yeah, the real reason is that Remedy uses friends as source material for the faces in Max Payne 1 unlike the next one, and since they may not know too many non-whitefolks, that can be a problem images/icons/smile.gif

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">WRONG! -you can see the statue of liberty, in the level at the docks. (through some locked gates, accross the water) ...i'm sure you can see the empire state building, on the very last level too.
