R_MemoryFile Error

I'm sure this has been posted before, but...

I've tried the fixes suggested in the FAQ. I've tried installing from both my CD drives (with & without DMA disabled). I've tried the 1.01 patch...

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? This game is awesome, but it's no good to me if I can't play the damn thing images/icons/mad.gif .

Try these:
- You need to do the "full install" (about 840 MB).
- If for some reason that doesn't work, copy all of the CD contents to your local drive and run the "install.exe" from there with full instal.
- If copying the files is successful and installing the game is successful, if you still get the error when playing the game it means there's something broken in your local IDE drivers or so. InstallShield should not install a file if the CRC checksum code on it is broken when it tries to copy the file.
- Try taking the CD to a friend and see if the game installs (and runs the same problematic level) there. If it doesn't work even there then it would seem to be physical problem with the CD. Mention this information when returning the CD to the shop.
