The thing I loved about ROTT was the deathmathes. While doom rocked the single-player arena, nothing came close to ROTT in multiplayer gib'o'rama. So you coders out there: Work on the network code so we can start Com-bat 'ing on the internet. Hi-res, gl --- not so important.... (it must be ported away from dos though...)

Nothing appears to happen in the network area. I can see in the 'rottport'-source they've been adding some calls which lead to nowhere, but which are intended for networking. Now I wonder which free socket library would be the best choice for ROTT? It should support both win32 and linux, just as SDL (which is already in use by 'rottport').
