All three versions of Max Payne 2 (PC, Xbox, Playstation 2) are now available for pre-order. While 3D Realms will not be selling this title direct, you can order them from Amazon.com by clicking on the appropriate cover art shown below.

As a reminder, the PC version of Max Payne 2 is scheduled to be released on October 15th, and the Playstation 2 & Xbox versions on December 5th.
Edit: I had Oct 17th here originally - that was the data the Amazon.com has. I should have written 15th. My mistake.

I got the T-shirt from Best Buy. It's a serious conversation piece, too. I'll walk down the street and people will come up to me and say, "Is that game out yet?"

Anyone seen any freebies in UK shops? We used to have Electronics Boutique, but I think it got taken over by Game.
(I should really go and look in the Game opposite where I work...)

Well, the game is supposed to be available on Oct 15, not be done. So by now they have certainly gone gold, and its possible they might have some European company that will be printing boxes\cds over there, and will make it possible for the game to be available there on the 15th as well.
Wait...most likely the 17th...

I'm a bit confused now.. What is exactly the difference between an European version and a none-european? Is it just another package or are there differences in-game between the versions?

Normally (and I damn well hope so!) there's no translation to different languages, nor are there any changes to the game on the CD.
But stupid Europe has DVD-Cases so that's prolly why it's getting released here on Monday and not Friday http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
PS: It's always gonna be later then the U.S. date 'cause it needs to ship overseas, but still **** DVD-Cases delay it even more http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif although I kinda like the DVD look 2 it, especially with a "film noir" game, no free mouse pad make me maaaad http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

DVD Cases are great they dont wear out as easily hell my copy Max Payne is near perfect condition unlike those carboard box games they start wearing out and fading and are really horrible.

Surely it makes more sense to compare a DVD case with an old PC jewel case? With the jewel cases you got double the fun (case and card box), and less space wastage. DVD cases are much better for manuals though, no more rifling through hoards of the things.

If you want the game as soon as possible, reserve a copy at a retail store.

When I lookd at that URL quickly, I thought it said www.max2.co.uk. (http://www.max2.co.uk.) http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Amazon's UK site (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000A1P9F/blacksabbath-o21) has it for £24.99. Your link is definitely cheaper.

Probably have to pay craploads extra for the shipping cost.
(Anyway, you'll have to wait for the 24th to get it from the UK sites)

I live in Australia, How many Australians are pre ordering from America? Or should I just pre order at my local EBgames? Will EBgames get MP2 before I could get it shipped over from America?
