Hi everyone,
my name is Joel, i'm aged 18 from Australia in my final year of school. Since Max's debut in 2001 i've been a fan. The story structure and gameplay was awesome. Can't wait for Max Payne 2!!!!
I'm enamoured with the whole "film-noir" genre- this is where Max succeeds.
I hope MP2 will have some cool new features in it to make it more interactive. I had this idea where the comic strip scenes are interactive where you can decide what Max's dialogue will be to change the direction of the story. I also wonder who the femme fatale Max is going to fall for. It looks like Mona from Max Payne 1, but she's dead.

Oh, also, something that might interest you, i'm currently writing Max Payne fanfiction in the true noir fashion. I'm wondering though if I should post it or not for copyright reasons. Anyhow, I look forward to getting to know some of you. Talk soon! images/icons/smile.gif

Oh, and also, just before I go, has anyone seen the Max Payne secret alternative level? Here's how:

To get access to the game console, you need to start maxpayne.exe with the command line parameter "-developer". Once you have the game running in developer mode, you get access to the game console with [F12].
Example: C:\maxpayne\maxpayne.exe -developer

Once you have activated the console type:
maxpayne_gamemode->gm_sendendofgamemessages( );

type this is whilst playing a level and ensure that no mods are activated.

Yeah, it looks a lot like Mona, and we saw her get shot, but we never did actually see a body (it dissapeared in the elevator, leaving *that* side plot wide open)...the woman looks more to me like Mona than the man looks like Sam Lake, unfortunately.
It better be Sam, it better be Sam, it better be Sam...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! images/icons/smile.gif Jade, i've noticed that you're from Italy. I used to study Italian a few years ago but I wasn't too good at it sadly images/icons/frown.gif But i'd love to visit Italy one day. A lot of my friends are Sicillians.

Anyhow, as far as Mona goes; didn't Max say after she was shot:
"Now she was just stone cold dead?"

Actually, she was shot outside the elevator because according to the illustrations of the comic strip, Max slowly lets her down into the elevator once she's been shot. He said nothing about feeling a pulse or anything. But i'd love to see Mona in the next one!
