Max Payne morals

So what do you think? was it justifyed for Max Payne to killa all those guys.. some of them had wives and children (listening to ingame conversation)

So who is Max Payne playing god? Anyone ever seen The Boondock Saints - Amazing movie!

I hope Max Payne 2 will have the MEDIA elements of Boondock saints ingame... where the media speculates about if Max Payne cause to kill so many people was justifyed.

I also hope Max will become a Valkyr addict in-prison then escape and start working for the russian mob (valdimir)...

I don't feel Max was personaly justified in his actions. His family was killed, and he dispatched the killers, and the one who sent them. There had to be about 100+ corpses in between.
I hardly call that fair. Isn't that what justice is all about? Being fair? He could have been more "profesional" only going after the people that were neccessary to get to the bottom of what happened. Striking quickly from the shadows, and returning just as quickly. Then again, we've played Hitman already.

On the other hand, everyone who got killed had it coming. It was going to happen sooner or later to each one of them, either from other gangs, the cops, each other, whatever. So in some way, they were marked for death long before Max got to them. It was only a matter of time before SOMEONE put them down, and it just happened to be Max. In that sense, anything ANYONE did to them was justified, because in the eyes of the universe, they were already dead.

Anyhow, Max is a hard-boiled cop on a vendetta. He has no reason to be nice.

The realism in MP is like in a movie. You watch a John Woo movie, and you don't worry about people getting shot. It's great. Kill them all! Or look at "Braveheart." Does anyone think "Ooohh, some of those english dudes have a family also..."
Of course not. I want to see blood and death, both in movies and in games. The reason is that reality is cruel, so people need games to cool down and play with. It releases stress and bad emotions.

books have been used for centuries to introduce thoughts on moral issues of the day or social commentary. I see no reason why movies and games can not be the same way. Not that they have to be but not EVERY game is "It's just a game, who cares whether killing people is bad or good".

All the bad guys were bad guys, they were given weapons to kill and i'm sure if they had just let Max take the elevator up to horn's office instead of shooting grenades at him, Max wouldnt have shot them either. So it's just max deciding he's going to do something and people getting in the way of him.

Everyone in Max Payne had it coming to them in some way, and probably deserved to die. The police needed 'proof' to lock them up or do that, but Max was just fast tracking the system. The gangsters and suits were all commiting or going to commit serious crimes and Max was ensuring they didn't. If Vladimir had been in Max's way Max probably would've done him in too, but on the other hand Vladimir (seems) to follow his morals (we need to see to what extent) whereas the others were willing to gun down men, women, children, innocent or not.

Max says it best himself when he finds out that Nicole ordered his family to be killed. I don't remember the exact words, but he admits his vendetta is not morally justified. He just doesn't care anymore and even if he did it would already be too late to turn away from the way he has chosen after he has slaughtered dozens of people.

I think that Fight Club said it best. On a long enough timeline everyone's life expectancy is 0 or something like that.
The truth is everyone is already dead. You cant stop death only slow it.
And I don't get people commiting suicide. if they want to do it let them do it. They have a right to do what they want with their lives just like everyone else.
People that kill on the other hand deservie to die, not stay in prison and eat away and tax money to keep them alive. That includes Max Payne. But he had a reason to do it and it looks cool while he does it.

If you don't like my opinions tough cause they are not changing anytime soon.
