Max Payne 2 total reboot?

Hi

wierd problem with max payne 2, I played through the game and had no trouble whatsoever , but now when I try seperate levels with the level select sometimes my comp just suddenly reboots! sometimes I can play for an hour then it happens sometimes I can play 5 mins then it happenes, anyone know what could be causing this at all?

Sounds like a hardware problem. Unfortunately Windows XP defaults to "reboot" when the previously famous "blue screen" would come up.

If you open up Properties on My Computer and go to "Advanced" and in the "Startup and Recovery" click on Settings, and there you'll find in the "System Failure" area "Automatically Restart". Uncheck that option. After that you'll get a "blue screen" when ever the similar problem comes up. The device name listed in the blue screen might help you troubleshoot the problem.

I'd recommend going thru your sound card, motherboard and graphics card drivers and make sure they are up to date.
