I watched Monday night's epsiode of XPlay (a game show on TechTV), and they reviewed Enter the Matrix.

They really slagged it - giving it only 2 out of 5, but when they were done reviewing it, they had a short piece on Enter the Matrix vs. Max Payne.

In it, they spooged about the Kung Fu v3.0 mod. They showed it, talked about how much cooler Max Payne is with the Kung Fu mod installed than Enter the Matrix is.

There's a link to some of what they said about the Kung Fu mod. Their bottom line was:

Enter the Matrix - $50, eh?

Max Payne - $20
Kung Fu Mod - Free and a whole lot better.

They summarized it like this:

"Kung Fu 3.0" essentially turns "Max Payne's" cheesy New York crime drama into a cheesy New York crime drama set in the Matrix.<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">If you haven't checked out the Kung Fu mod, you really should.

They rave about Kung Fu 3.0 while taking a cheap shot at the game it runs on? I'd hardly refer to Max Payne as cheesy.

Specifically the graphic novel cut-scenes. I certainly would call them cheesy. (but cheesy in a good way as it's a homage to all of those detective novels images/icons/grin.gif )

ps. go Remedy!

Half of the fun of playing through Max Payne was the cheesy graphic novels. It wouldn't be the same without them.

They aren't cheesy if you're a comic book fan.

Ouch, "Enter The Matrix" sure is getting slated pretty bad. I've still not played it yet, so I'm still curious to find out what all the fuss is about. images/icons/smile.gif

Great news for Ken, of course; well deserved.

I really wanted to like Enter the Matrix, but it was way to short. And real glitchy if ya preordered it. For me anyway....

This review was repeated again this weekend. I wrote their people asking if I could get a video clip of the hosts talking about it. It was quite good.

I happened to catch the show this weekend, and was surprised to see them feature Ken Y's mod. It was a great plug. Congrats to Ken.
