The game runs relatively well on my system, but whenever I play the "previously on..." segment, it plays, then pauses for a moment, then it continues. Does anyone else have this problem too? I have:

Windows XP
Ge Force MX 200 32 MB
SoundBlaster Live 5.1
Athlon 1Ghz
256 MB ram

If anyone else has this problem please let me know what you did. I have tried the game on a Sony Vaio and it had the same problem. When I tried it on a Compaq laptop, it ran fine.

I've had this problem for quite a while too - I'm glad I'm not the only one. It seems to be a problem with the videos being played back. I also experience this stutter in the movies of Ground Control. I've asked around, but never found an answer.

I think that, if there is an answer, it's going to have to do with the codecs or program that's used to play those movies (bink?).

My specs:
AMD Athlon 1200
ASUS V8200 GeForce3 Ti200
384MB RAM
WindowsXP Pro (happened on Win98SE too)
TerraTec Aureon 5.1 (happened on SB128 too)

I'd *really* like to see it fixed, because it has been annoying me for a year or so now. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/brickwall.gif

Had a look, and it's a .bik file. What are .bik files played back with?

it's a Bink file format... use Rad-Game-tools Bink player for playing it (I think it's www.radgametools.com (http://www.radgametools.com) or something like that)

Playing the video file using that program works fine - yet in-game it still stutters. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif
