A MAx Payne voice imitator [Archive]

Alright here goes.
Most people modding here would love to have max say something in that wonderful monotone of his we all know and ove. I'd like to know if there was anyone out there confident enough in their voice acting/imitating to record a line or two for my cutscenes. If so, as a sample, could ya plz record a sound file of , say,

"It was obvious they'd known I was coming"

of course, I would be happy to include your name in the credits. Any Takers?

who is this m8 of yours that does that max thing? cos he's real good. i tell ya, if the next mp3 will be made and james mcaffery didnt wanna do it no more (yeah right, which is unlikely) then your m8 will do the job just fine.

get him to say a few more lines, actually wait, everyone if you have a friend that sounds and does a great convincing voice acting of max payne get him on the forums and release sum cool performances that can be play on windows media player.

Either that, or he extracted all the sound clips of his voice and pieced it together. Except for a little too much echo in the second clip, it's as close to Max as you can get.

Do you play with your speakers/headphones plugged out!?
I've played both MP 1 and 2 so much, that I remember most of the voice acting by heart hehe..
Either you are playing around with us, OR this guy is a pretty good imitator I'd say..

anyway, how do you record your voice on the computer to be made and recorded? what software do you use for it? is it cheap?

For recording, I'll often use Audiotools (http://www.unrelatedinventions.com/Audiotools/index.htm), which just so happens to be free (although it does harp at you to register every now and again). About the only limitation on the unregistered version is that you can't record beyond 10 minutes, but then, how often does anyone record more than that?
