Was the original Max Payne story ever released as a stand-a-lone graphic novel? If not, are there plans to do so?

It would be a shame not to.

I saw a picture for a Max Payne comic, but I don't know if it had any relation to Max Payne the game.

Remedy would know, because someone would have to buy the rights to make a graphic novel based of the game.

Perhaps Skaven will grace us with an answer.

I actually doubt there is because 3dRealms would feature it like they did for the hero video? Ya know on the page for Max payne stuff?

Yeah...I wonder if they'll release a book with the full story of Max once MP2 is released....or later...

I have no knowledge of such a plan. Which does not mean that there could not be one in the future.
In any case, that would be Take Two's decision as they own Max Payne rights.

Perhaps Skaven will grace us with an answer.<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">As you may have noticed, it's Mika Reini who has been answering to most of your questions lately. I figure it's time (and has been for a while) for me to step aside, concentrate on getting the game done, and let Mika take care of the answers. Please direct all your credit and applause to him. I thank you, Mika, for so diligently staying in touch with the people in this forum.

(This, of course, won't stop me from dropping in to make occasional snide remark images/icons/grin.gif )

It is kinda like:

For MP1 we had:

Sam lake as max's face, and skaven as the main moderator

For MP2 we have:

Some guy as max's face, and mika as the main moderator.

Coincidence? I think not.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I also said main moderator. One does not have to have the title of moderator to moderate. As long as Mika stays at remedy, he seems like a fine moderator to me.

Keep up the good work Mika!

He's still not a moderator here.. he has no powers of any kind to delete messages or close topics.

Ok, ok, we get it, Mika's not the *actual* moderator. I'm sure that if he really wants to lock a topic or something that Skaven will let him. images/icons/smile.gif

Hmmm.

Maybe I'll drop Take Two an e-mail and see if they are thinking about it.
