This is probably not necessary, but since somebody else is working on the same topic and to prevent flaming or anything else of this level... I did not steal the rooftop scene idea ; I'm working on this since december. So here are some sreenshots of my work i didn't wanted to reveal. Any constructive comment would be appreciate.

I agree that you have to work with the lights a bit, but up to now ITS PRETTY COOL, DUDE! Keep this great work! I, and I am sure WE, want more screenies! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the kind comments.
The level has not been gis yet. Modelling is still not complete. I will start to work on lighting after that.

You have done well, but one question emerges.
Is the action on this level going to be only on the roof or gets inside the building(s) also?

Good luck for future

My first idea was a scene only on the roofs, for a DMW intense action. (Never heard of the MP2 contest?) http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
In the future, I may convert this work in a standard map with indoor rooms. That's possible.

The blue things are AI nodes. You should read the official tutorial! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

This is going to be a great map, and whith some proper lighting, fov, etc... it will kick ass! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Remeber that scene where trynity runs away from those cops / agents? The ambient color was green/grey! You could use some dummys to render since this is a large outdoor, and lamps may not be enough! But u probably know that already... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Good stuff, Aknott.

Question. Are those skylights tall enough to provide cover if ducked behind? I don't know about other people, but I use cover a lot in DMW. It would be a shame if those skylights were just too short to duck behind, unless there are more stair-access structures like the one I see in screenshot 0007 (most of the screens won't load for me, so I've only seen the one stair-access).

Well, i didn't do ai tests yet, but the total height for the skylights are ~2.125 meters, so afaik the player will be covered even if you don't duck. Same goes for the tall chimneys.
