So we know that old characters will be back...what about old actors? Do you think we might see Sam as a hotdog vendor, or something (of course, Basky would spend the whole game buying hotdogs)? images/icons/smile.gif

Are we gonna see the original team at all, I wonder, or is everybody new?

Yeah - sorry. Sam Lake in particular, but really just anyone from the original. I'll honestly be surprised if Sam isn't in there anywhere.

A guy with a sam lake character model should be buying ex-lax at a drug store. While counting his eyebrow hairs, and have a tatoo that says Basky(some variation of Baskinator. Or perhaps Kevin's Girl aswell; she seemed pretty interested a few weeks ago.)

Or maybe Sam would be in FMJ's gun shop, where Max goes to stock up on ammo....and as Sam reaches for Max's change, Max notices ex-lax on the counter. images/icons/grin.gif

I can already picture the graphic novel scene where the brand new faced Max sees Sam's cameo appearance...

"The approaching man looked familiar. Somehow he had managed to ring a bell in my mind, a place where I had heard nothing but gunshots and flying bullets for the past few weeks.

It was futile trying to remember though. New York has this effect on you; always clearing your head of any thought but the present. All you needed was a junkie pointing a gun at your wife.

When you cross a stranger's path, there's always this part of you that wonders for a fugitive moment if he knows what you're going through. But that man was different. There was no question. He knew. I could see it in his eyes. He knew the loss, the chase, and the pain.

The man walked away into the chilling night. I stood there with that annoying feeling of déjà vu. And then New York snapped me out of it as I heard the first gunshot. I was in the present again. My case.

My fall..."

All of this making me think of Sam as the Klauh Kalesh vendor in "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson [4F22 (http://www.snpp.com/episodes/4F22)]. "Mountain Dew or crab juice."

Basky, that was one of the best episodes ever!!! You've gotta love the part where he extends his arm with a stick in his hand and tries to reach the pizza store that's 300 feet away with it. images/icons/grin.gif

Thank you Joe, thank you all!

I was working on a novella that was somehow similar to Max Payne. When the game came out and I played it, I saw I couldn't top the story so I dropped the project and switched to SF, but I still like to write in "film noir" style from time to time.

I'm still far away from being a professionnal, but it's nice to see I haven't lost the touch. Maybe Sam Lake started out like that? Hopefully one day I'll be in the credits for a game too. That's one dream I won't give up.

Sam Lake doing a cameo in MP2...? *smiles to one self* Hhhmmmm. I would have to catch a glimpse of that! *winks*
I hope Remedy will do it. If not at least have Sam's face on a WANTED poster or something.

Maybe Max should look in a mirror, and his face goes back to the old one in it briefly while he remembers meeting Mona?

Basky, keep that episode firlmy in your mind or try to get it on tape. I heard that they it pulled forever after 9/11 because it has the twin towers in it and I have not seen it since. Persnally that bothers me, I dont think we should pretend those towers were never there.
I loved when the guy said, I have mountain dew and crab juice and Homer shudders and takes the crab juice.

Yeah! And Bart goes into the building and is like, "Is this...MAD Magazine?" And the cantankerous clerk is like, "No, this is Mademoiselle." images/icons/grin.gif
