I was wondering if you fellow Max Payne fans could help me out and let me know where
I can download a high res Max Payne wallpaper.
I'm looking for the classic black and white Max Payne image where he's
holding his Beretta 9mm up high. I'm looking for a wallpaper of this image
at a high native resolution, above 1280x1024, the higher the better.
But I've been having a tough time finding anything. I would have thought
there would be Max Payne wallpapers like this readily available in high res,
but I haven't been able to find it.
Thanks for any help, I appreciate it! images/icons/smile.gif

You can check the official site, you can find some wall paper there. I noticed the site has been update BTW. Nice music, and I noticed there's some new screenshots there that I haven't seen.

And here's a thread that was made not so long ago with a bunch of fan made wallpaper...

Thanks for the info., but I said Max Payne wallpaper, not Max Payne II. images/icons/smile.gif
I'm talking about the classic Max Payne logo from the first game where he's holding
the Beretta up high next to his head. I've looked extensively but have been unable
to find this wallpaper in a resolution above 1280x1024.
Any of you guys know where I might be able to download this particular wallpaper
in a native high res version?

You could make your own. It is very simple.

I suppose you could just blow up a smaller res image to a higher res, but then you'd
make the image less distinct, lose some of the crispness and sharpness of the image,
wouldn't you? As compared to an image that was intended for very high res from
the beginning.
Surely Remedy made the classic black and white Max Payne logo in a native 1600x1200
wallpaper version? Remedy, where have you fellows put that wallpaper at? images/icons/smile.gif
Don't have a scanner. And besides, it seems likely that the quality would
be less in a box scan than in a real wallpaper. And the starting image might
be too small to go to that high of a res without loss of detail.

Thanks very much for the offer, Raven. :) I'd really like to get that great Max Payne wallpaper in as high a native resolution (in other words, made by Remedy at that resolution) as possible. Check your private messages, I've sent you one. :)

Um if you have the game installed in your computer, they have that exact picture in the Max Payne folder.

(Photobucket only allows up to 800x600, I have it in 1280x1024 if anyone wants it)

It's just that I didn't notice Raven's post until then. hehe :)
Zom-B: I'd like to have that wallpaper in 1280x1024. :)
Maxpayne4664: Yes , there is a Max Payne image in one of the Max Payne sub folders (thanks for pointing that out :) ), but it's in gray, not black, plus the text is missing.
I mean the image like from the cover of the Max Payne box, but without the yellow police tape. Where it shows Max in black and white holding his Beretta 9mm, and underneath it says Max Payne and then under that it says New York City - A Fugitive Undercover Cop - Nothing To Lose. It looks very cool. I was hoping to be able to find that image in a native res of 1600x1200, since it seems almost certain that Remedy would have made a wallpaper at that res. But so far have been unable to find it. Does anyone know where such a high res version of that wallpaper can be found? :)
