As you can see above, the original Max Payne told you how many 3DMark's you would need to run the game with optimal or minimal settings. I was wondering of the Max Payne 2 box will feature this but with 3DMark 2003 instead? Or will it feature this at all? images/icons/smile.gif

They might as well just write what kind of videocard you need, because that's all 3D Mark 2003 seems to test.
(they proved this when a Pentium 400MHz or what it was with a Radeon 9800 PRO beat a 2,6GHz CPU with another card (can't quite remember which) by a good margin)

^ I'd expect a Pentium 100 to beat anything if it's going to have the latest GPU while the other will have the oldest (probably).
I just thought it was interesting that they listend the average 3DMarks you'd need. images/icons/grin.gif

Yes, but it's supposed to be a gamesystem test, many games are CPU dependant, so when 3D Mark only tests the videocard (it does test other things, but the score comes from the first 4 tests it seems) it doesn't really tell me if my system is good for games, only the videocard.
Most new games aren't really CPU dependant anymore (though they do need something faster than 400MHz).. but anything over 1GHz and the only way to get more fps with most games is to get a better GFX card.
Jedi Knight 2 is one of the few games that will actually get more fps with faster CPUs.

With most new games using stuff like Havok and so on I still see a need for a good processor, but I agree the difference between 1,5GHz and 2,5GHz in that case is minimal. This test also tested with those normal games though, and it still lost.
