Newbie here,
Does MP2 have a story like the first did. By the way the first one rocked in a major way, lol. Couldn't stop playing till I beat the finale.

But it's obviously taking place after MP1 but it's titled the Fall of Max Payne.

Max Payne can't die......Max Payne can't die!!!! It's not fair.

If Max Payne dies, then there will be no Max Payne3 -Max Payne vs. Godzilla

If Max Payne dies there will be no Max Payne 4- Max Payne vs Terminator

If Max Payne dies there will be no Max Payne 5- Max Payne vs OJ Simpson

If Max Payne dies.......ok I think you all get my point, lol.

I guess my question is whats it gonna be about now????

we don't know that he's gonna die, and the story should be alot better then the first one, and 3 times longer. So there still could be a max 3

It also takes place during the Fall.

The fall of Max Payne could mean many things (the time of year and love interest are confirmed anyway), but it never occurred to me that he might actually die. If anyone is going to die, I'd bet it'd be Mona.

The game is set in fall, the season, hence it is the "fall" of Max Payne.

Seriously, though, I doubt they'll kill him off. The first game was so successful that unless MP2 is a failure on a fantastically epic scale, there'll be an MP3, and without an MP, where would it be? It would be 3, and that could be 3 of anything, and fans of MP wouldn't buy it. So they need to keep the MP for MP3. Then on to MP4, and then MP5, and FINALLY there will be an MP5 as a weapon in the game that's actually an MP5 and not a Colt carbine that's called an MP5 in the code.

when I first time heard name "fall of Max Payne" I thought that Max will die in it, but then this love meaning camed to my mind.

Has anyone... SEEN Notorious... or Double Indemnity?

I can tell you these for a fact! Max Payne CAN die, or CAN get arrested, and spend the rest of his life in jail... untill he may escape. Film Noir Endings are ussually depressing, because the very nature of them didn't work to well in the old days. IE! you can't get away with murder.

WHat I REALLY want to see is Mona hug and kiss max, and say, "HOLD ME TIGHTLY! I LOVE YOU!" and have Max shoot her in the chest, and say, "...good bye baby..." Via Double Indemnity

if you want to see the Nature of a film noir, lack the shooing of many people, see Double Indemnity... very good. Fatal Instinct is a Spoof on it
