Chances of another Max Payne sequel?

I noticed that at the end of Max Payne 1, there was a hint of a sequel to come. I understand that a 3rd or even a 4th sequel of any game can be difficult? However, given the title of the sequel, it makes me wonder if there is a chance that we're going to see a Max Payne 3? If so, what are the chances ?

P.S.: I was thinking of Remedy doing Max Payne 3: The Return of Payne or something like that after Max Payne 2 is released.

Personally, I don't think Remedy will do another Max Payne game. With Rockstar owning the IP and Remedy being rich enough I'm thinking they'll do a whole new game. Someone else will probably develop a new Max Payne game though. Rockstar didn't buy the rights for it to let it die. I'm thinking more games and possibly a movie will come. Not sure how interested I'll be if Remedy doesn't develop though. Depends.

Its upto Remedy to make a third one. If they feel the need to tell some more tales about Max and his adventures or left some things from the second hoping to include in a later version, they will make another (i.e., they're not sellouts!).
Besides, isnt it a wee bit early to talk about a third one when the second one isnt even completed?

well, its not like he demanded the third part.
i can understand him in a way. he's just curious if this is gonna be the last max payne in a while or if we can get our hands on everybody's favourite NYPD cop in another 2-3 years. although i'd have waited with such a thread myself, i can't deny that i wouldnt be interested in an answer by that, even though i'm not really expecting any of the RMD guys to give an answer to this.

As I said, it's not Remedy's choice, it's not something they have to decide. They only decide if they want to make a third game if Take 2 / Rockstar asks them to make it, Take 2 decides if another game is to come, and any business man with brains would answer yes to that question.

To sum up since people don't seem to get it. Max Payne the franchise is owned by Take 2, they decide what to do with it, not Remedy. They've sold those rights. And quite frankly I'd rather see Remedy spend 3-4 years on a whole new kickass game. Still, Max Payne 2 looks to be more awesome than anyone imagined for a sequel.

There will be an MP3. MP2 will end with Max in the middle of a major "boss-battle" and right before he kills the enemy, the game stops and the text "To be continued...." appears on the screen.
