The creators of Max Payne should of used real life street locations and actual scenery to make it even more realistic. Who thinks the same thing?? I just think that little things like that can make a huge difference.

what places did u have in mind? most people wouldn't recognize the scenery anyway
Well.. the textures they used came from real photographs and I'm pretty sure the locations they visited in NY influenced level design a lot..

Well for one...there is no Roscoe St Station in the Bronx. They could of used realistic street names, and/or scenery. Im not putting the work of the scenery out, its very good for the most part.
All im saying is that they should of used real life street names along with their real scenery. They should of done this so you can say something like...."Yeah! I've been there before...oh look that buildings there also!" or "Hey, cool! My hometown!....lol. But who knows..maybe im wrong. Maybe they are using real life scenery, but not streets. I was amazed on how real the train stations looked in MP1.
Just like the real thing. MP2 ads were being advertized in billboards right on my block and other blocks too....for a very long time...they finally replaced it with recruitment signs for the NYPD....Coincidence?? Hmmm. lol

I'm not sure, but would they need to get permission to use actual street names, buildings and such? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't think these type of things are registered[For streets]. If they want to use the Empire State Building name, then, maybe yes. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I still think they need to get permission from the owners of building to use thier building in a game, Besides I dont think it was the location that made MP2 good.
