View Full Version : JonoF's Port: User Art (tiles014.art) not working

I tried to add custom art to tiles014.art, editart showed it correctly, bastART too, Build not. Build showed nothing, only #3584 (The "Duke Nukem User Art" sign), on #3585 it says 0x0 (the x- & y-dimensions) and nothing else. So I tried to replace the "User Art"-sign with my graphic. It looked correct in editart, correct in bastard, but Build AND Duke3D gave a damn about the User Art and only showed the original symbol.
I tried other wads with custom graphics, all were okay in Duke3D, but in Build some of the custom .art-files loaded, some not.
What the f*ck is the problem?? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Is this an original-quality texture? Or a Hightile one?

Hightile is incompatable with the .art format.

So, does this actually have to do with JonoF's port, I mean, does it work when you use a "normal" duke version (without Jonof's port)? Because maybe the port isnt the problem.

mmh...good point...I'll try it with duke_w32...normal duke won't run on winxp

Edit: Tested. duke_w32 works...I'll attach the tiles014.art for testing...

Edit 2: Solved...it seems that JonoFs port doesn't like it, when all .art-Files are extracted and in the game-dir (and maybe backups like "tiles014org.art". So I deleted all except my modified tiles014.art and it works.
