Okay, I'm following the official tutorial. I just placed the jump point in my room. I pointed at the jump point containing room with in F5 mode and hit enter, but the space where you enter in a name is greyed out. Is there something else that I need to do before it will let me?

Click on the room in the heichary and press F2 then just type it in...

Or in the heichary, again, click on the lil icon thats next to the A-Z icon, then press enter on your room and it wont be greyed out.

This basicaly makes it so that you wont be selecting everything in that room, so all you select is the room itself.

Ahhhh..!

Thanks a bunch! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

EDIT: aw jeez. Now it won't do anything when I click on export. I click it.. nothing. No window asking me WHERE to export, zip. Man, this thing is really starting to become a payne in the bronx..

Ok there we go. Restarting the program always helps. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

One more thing - When I make a box inside a room, the bottom is invisible, but I can still select it(it becomes visible when you go inside it)

I know this is used for looking down and making rooms, but how can you turn this off?

It does export if you _save_ the document first... http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah I got it to work. Why does it get rid of the portion you are looking at though?

It's because right now it is a concave object. Concave meshes are usually used as rooms. What you want to do is go into f4 mode, highlight one of the faces by placing your cursor over it and press ctrl + F.

Wow. Problem #0329420349. Now when I want to render my lights, it says that the GIS-client program ISN'T A VALID WIN32 APPLICATION.

When will this nightmare end?!

you have to start the GIS apps first, and the problem will end when you take the time to work through the Remedy tutorials!

Whadya think I've been doin? I _have_ been running the GIS apps first. That has nothing to do with them being invalid windows applications.

from the above questions I'd guess lookin at tutorial pictures?

Did you read anything about firewalls/local hosts/C drive warnings/requirements from Remedy, where tools needed to be installed etc?

Yes, yes I did. But you see, I _CAN'T_ turn off my firewall. If I do, the internet goes down. It is just set up that way.
