When you hit the switch no matter what your health, you'll go down to 1 health!
Download the small map here and see for yourself!! http://members.xoom.com/gaming_tools/WIERD.MAP
It works for both Atomic and 1.3d. In deathmatch it only affects player1 when pressed. If you change one thing in the level it will not work. Did anyone else know about this??
Thanks. http://www.3drealms.com/ubb/images/icons/grin.gif

Woah, that is weird. I edited the SE hitag to 2210, played the map, nothing. Then I went to the SAME map and the tag was back to 2220. So I saved, played, weird effect again. I was going to see if 2219 would do anything, and when I went back to the map, it was set at 2210! I was saving the original map, not a copy. Weird.

Somebody who know the map format very well has probably manually edited the map and made a pain sector

Best to ignore someone who clearly has no idea what they are talking about.

there are a few hidden sector effectors (make a list and fill in the blanks) what produce strange buggy effects, so maybe this is just an old SE that was never prefected and for some reason it has a strange tag numbee. it could have its uses in a map but it puts your health to 3 if you press it again which seems a bit weird. maybe there are some more hidden SEs that have random numbers or maybe its some sort of bug in the code?

Surely Duke3d has more hidden stuff in it than any game ever made. The fact that people are still finding things, is frankly, amazing.
Let hope that DNF has this much hidden crap in it http://www.3drealms.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

Sigh... I need to be here more, but is there a list of glitchy SEs and such made by anyone?
I tried the sample map and got nothing in terms of health reduction, but my CONs are so different from the originals that may have something to do with it.

The cons files have nothing to do with it.
