There are two differen shootdodge types.
Shootdodges for 1 handed weapons and shootdodges for 2 handed weapons.
Then there also are dodges, who have the same thing.
Every shoot/dodge type has a set of anims that are blended into each other just as Akari says.

There are also the Combat shootdodges.
And i believe there are 2 handed Combat Shootdodges, but i'm not sure,
to make a weapon use 2 handed shootdodges, there is a define in the weapon.txt to see if the weapon is two handed. Something like TwoHanded =
this can't be edited in exsisting weapons though.
If you want to use combat animations,
use this command in an animation:
this->C_SetCombatAnimations(true);

no, you cannot do that. you can make a shootdodge for either one handed weapons like pistols or two handed weapons like rifles. you can't make shootdodges for individual weapons. although i do hope that the next max payne does this very thing. and i hope that you will be able to shootdodge with grenades and throwable weapons too.
that would rock.

While we're on the topic of shootdodges...
I tried importing a bunch of animations at once and putting them instead of the shootdodges. I got an error saying something about shootdodges needing to be the same length and referred me to line 33...
Now, does this mean that there is a fixed length or that all shootdodges must be exactly x frames long? And what is x in this?

all shootdodges needs to be same lenght so they blend in together
