Is there a way that you can disable the demos that run on the opening of Duke?

Nope.
I have deleted them and it still tries to load them. It automatically defaults to certain levels (like Area 51), and if the episode/level has been removed, Duke returns to DOS with a "Cannot find .map" message.

Tripe. Delete the demos. It doesn't default to jack. If necessary delete them from the grp file.

del *.dmo
...on the off chance you're not deleting the correct files.

del *.dmo
There are NO demo's in the group file, so they will default to nothing. It will try to load it, can't find anything so it will bypass it. You won't even see any messages as it isn't supposed to display any.

Deleting them does work.. delete these:
Demo1.dmo
Demo2.dmo
Demo3.dmo (Atomic edition)

I checked the grp file, and there are demo files in there.
I'm playing Atomic Edition if that makes any difference.

Oh okay, well in that case the best thing to do is use the following command line
duke3d.exe /dnull

Yep, that worked.
Now that wasn't too hard, was it. http://www.3drealms.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

You'll have to type it in every time though, and you have to also run it from the command line. It gets annoying after a while.

Yeah. I'll probably just end up making a batch file instead.
