I am still learning 3dsmax+CS 4.

Actual not.
If i get better with 3dsmax5 and MaxED i start to make a Mod.
And i have problems to animate the jacket.
Is there a chance to get max´s skin on the bone(so that the skin is only 50% visible)?

how about mking the somersault, the standard jump ( a jump, where it's possible to shoot, that is), and thereby, using it as a seconday shootdodge - enabling you to activate bullettime as you please - making ANY move a so called "dodge" hm?
Oh, and hey, you WILL be able to shoot, during the backwards dodge-thingy, right? cause, if it just lleaves you dfenceless, flat on your back with no bullets fired, you're screwed http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

there are animations for one and two handed gun animations....and a similar unused set i believe..any of those jumps or dodges can be a somersault jump without changing the default jump animation
If you right click max's model, and select properties. theres an own section called visibility. set it to 5 (of 10) and then he will be 50% visible.

Is it possible to open some original animations for example crouch.kf2 or Jump_Forward.kf2
I can't really say if it looks good or not because I haven't seen the animation yet.

It looks like his jacket is doing weird things though.

extreme, psychiatric, satanic, shock therapy. anyone who is anyone around here knows that it takes a lot to make a good mod. and if someone were to enter a mod into a contest that sports one new shootdodge animation he or she is clinically insane if they think they will win.

Not in the way you can edit them, but you maybe can open them in milkshape.
in male.txt find crouch animations and add slowdown code to Frame 0 and messae which turns speed back to 1 to last frame

Also one thing I have to note about shootdodges. Because they have to blend into each other they have to be exported differently by the kf2 plugin.
3dsmax itself determines itself if an animation is non shootdodge or shootdodge by looking into the filename of the animation and checks which direction and if it's shootdodge, like: ShootDodgeForward.max.
Look in the maxscript bip v2 export plugin code for that. It isn't noted anywhere so I just thought I'd share it http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

but the crouch animation is endless until i relesase the button.
Or how can i do that the crouch animation plays by one press from frame 1-40?
