I've started typing out the sound files.
My point is to get the entire sound database of MP2 in an overview. This makes it a whole lot easier to create new random dialogues by cutting up the existing ones.

Every sheet is devided in three colums the filename the actor that says the line and the actual lines that go with the actor.

My overview are pretty accurate however I cannot garanty perfect englich mainly because it is not my maternal language.
However errors will be limited.

Any comments on this are allways welcome (preferably by PM to prevent the thread of getting disorderly.

my first overview is a complete summary of all cinematic sound file from the beginning to the end of the game.

I hope someone can find good use for them I know I have!

please note: shots are usualy not played in the cinematic sound file they are added in game.

Well TS, the zip is corrupted. Try re-attaching.
Anyway the idea is very good. More like a content of what dialogue to find where.

I don't think it's corrupted at all try redownloading.
However since I like you http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif I've attached it on this one and I've rezipped it for ya.

Your right that's exactly what it is.
More will be comming up soon it's an effective way to make new dialogues and I can assure you it is alot easier

I am sure yours is better organized, and I never finished transcribing all the graphic novel, and it is still great for getting the creative juices going.

I started a MP1 transcript too, but haven't finished it though I plan to use some MP1 dialogue in my MP2 mod.

Great to discover someone else is going to make a "talkie"! We had a sound alike voice actor volunteering a couple months ago for new dialogue too! Maybe search?

Oh and I did notice discrepencies between Remedy's remarks and the sound files that were actually used so your way is the surest way?

so should I continue or is everyone of the same opinion that subtitles are the way to go.

I was just trying to get this community realy going.

Since I joined I've felt more and more that people here just get a kick out of working against eachother.

Don't feel blue, its just a really small community divided by what each individual feels is more important. And polling always seems to get even worse results.

IMHO you have to mod for your own satisfaction, BUT the community will really get going for better or worse once those contest mods get released.

I am into MP2 for the story telling but am in the minority, what you started was needed, by me, and I released it, but I don't think its ever been used by anyone else *LOL*

Prefabs, especially vehicles (even lame ones) will get you in a zillion mods and the admiration of all.

Released mods IMHO will make the community stronger, sooo back to work *G*

hye I'm working 24-7 so that can't be the problem
concerning your comment on admiration and "getting in someone mod" that's not at all why I do it. The only reason I mod is to proove to myself that I can.

I don't know, it's addicting. I started with hammer and unreal ed made some cool stuff there and decide to mod for MP1 I hated it could'nt even get one level exported so I gave up.
When 2 came out I urged myself to start again and this time I kept going .

So now I'm modding for MP2 for the sole reason of having fun

hope all you guys are into this for the same reason.

I feal sorry for the ones who are'nt
