Hey, eveyone.
I'm making an outdoor urban map.
Does anyone know where I can find good building textures and road textures from?

One of the Quake sites had a year long texture set contest that were released, I think it had an urban beach theme, best resource, next to making your own that is *LOL* RTCW is of course more reality based texturewise than Quake's sci-fi, but these were brilliant?
Just convert to .dds yourself and credit them of course *G*

Level has NOT been exported due to following errors:

- geometry contains zero area triangles

Its okay I solved that havok problem by using subtracting.
But a link to the site you mentioned would be nice.

That was damn decent help.
I found some textures for the most of the stuff already.
Just need some builidings.
You can never have too much textures, right?
Attached is a MaxEd screen of my map. It's supposed to be a train station.
As you can see I still have to add external builiding textures and a sky box. Speaking of which: does anyone know a good daytime skybox?
PS-> Does anyone know if there's any train prefabs out there?

Download the Roscoe Street Station level from the official tutorial, and converse the subway train for MAXED 2. (with import...)

Best way to solve this is to select your primary parent (the main room) and press "F", then click OK. This will run through all the objects in the room and weld any open vertices. It's a great optimization tool!

Thanks, I will do that and then build my level around it from scratch because that will probably work better.

I ported the Max Payne: Roscoe Steet Station level for MaxEd2.
What FSMs do I have to change, if I want the train to work in Max Payne 2?

Good question! I think MP1 is different than MP2 so a simple reassignment of FSMs is not so easily done, but the animations may still be reusable? Good luck!

just open up the fsm editor of all dynamic objects with scripting, and all wrong scripts will become highlighted red. you should also get a list of all wrong scripts when loading up the map. lots of basic scripts (DO_Animate, T_Enable, FSM_Send, etc...) are still the same so about 50% of all lines will still work. the enemy scripting will have to be completely redone, since the system has changed completely from mp1. but just check it out yourself.

actually their readmes explain that most are from MP1 and meant to be educational or modified/reskinned later with better textures etc
