TDM is all that i'm playing because i'd prolly be kicked out of all the other servers for being so n00bish....

i like the maps:

* Jordan Market Siege
* Hospital Invasion
* Raven Offices
* Shop Invasion
* Columbia (don't remember which one....)

i hate the maps:

* one that i just played a few min ago, don't remember the name. It's in a mansion and there's an MM-1 around there somewhere.... damn so many MM-1 whores...
* the Kamchatka maps

anyone got any tips? takes me too long to get good and the next day my skills are back to nothing....

I did play SoF2 multiplayer a lot lately. Mostly Jordan, since the other maps lag on my shitty ISDN connection, I dunno why. Kamchatka plays good as well but I hate this one warehouse map because I don't hear the ******s coming.

It's fun, especially when you're on a roll and mow down everything in your way. (we play mostly Elimination) Or the occasional misplaced grenade in your favor... hmm... lovely game, really. The other Shop Invasion map is cool as well, but what we play most of the time is Jordan Elimination and Finca Infiltration. Fun, fun, fun.

Awesome game. Played the hell out of the infiltration gametype... demolition also was great. Far superior in every way to CS ... IMO... I liked the loadout system in SOF2 instead of "buying" equipment.

I never understood why SOF2 didn't crush the CS scene... too bad I gave it up and squandered my disk to a friend. Need another copy.

The thing I still love about SOF2 is the idea that if you are a good shot, you can still dismember opponents in multiplayer. It feels like it rewards good aim and technique rather than the odd shooting model of CS.

I used to play SoF2 multiplayer daily for a few months. I think I may go back to it when I head back to college.

I love the inciendiary grenades, but the problem I'm having is that I keep staring at the burning, dancing soon-to-be-former-human which then kills me with incredible accuracy. I mean when you're being burnt up by plasma, you won't be able to aim, let alone decide when to pull the trigger... IMO a burning player should go into panic mode, running around, screaming and shooting randomly. That's what I do, anyway http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Another fun incident was where I chucked a grenade in the same place for two succesive rounds, and scored a kill, on the same person. Then I decide I'll throw the grenade elsewhere, and bam, it's the same guy.

The gore pak is fun as well, headshots get a whole lotta juicier.

We play SOF2 more than anything else at these small LAN parties my friends and I have. Multiplayer is just really solid and a lot fun.

Yep, I played SP 4 times through, twice on hard and I still play MultiPlayer. SOF-2 is one of my all-time favorite games.

Hmm I dunno, I guess I forgot SOF2 is rather boring, same ol' shoot 'em up. I mean, I didn't really expect more, but my tastes have been transforming lately... I might return this.

There's always GTA Vice City for $6 or GTA 3 for $4... as temporarily fun as those games are, they're nothing I'm anxious about.

Single player SOF2 was not very good, but the multiplayer was great. I used to play the hell out of that. I'd go back to it, but I think all of my old opponents are no longer playing it.

I play it here and there. It's fun. It may be hectic, but the accuracy is far superior to any multiplayer game.

Problem is that there is so many multiplayer games and so little time. I can't play em all.

I used to play SOF2 MP for several hours a day. RMG maps are really good fun, and of course the weapons are a joy to use.

IMO CS doesn't get anywhere close to matching SOF2's brilliance. Accurate weapons, a perfect damage model, nades and a shotgun in reserve, CTF, nightime combat and lots of other cool details.

It contains new Multiplayer maps and all three patches.

Raven made (and so did a company called 3 Wave) some new Multiplayer maps for the Gold Edition. But they're not exclusive to to the "Retail" Gold Edition, they are free to anyone who owns the original. The Retail Gold Edition is the same as the Original Edition updated to the Gold (or 3rd) patch.

Yeah, the Raven office is a cool level.

Soldier of Fortune 2 was so well done in many areas. It's a shame that they slapped half of it together and left half of the bugs in. Even after patches.

They did such a nice job with the technology they had. Then rush jobbed the rest.

I played all the way through to the end. Very many cool levels with a lame predictable plot twist.
