hmm. Have you been playing Operation Flashpoint? Seems to me that all OFP-fanatics, wants its vehicle-stuff included in every other game they like... images/icons/rolleyes.gif

What about a Hummer with a big serrated spike stuck on the front of it? That would be fun to drive.

Yeah, and everyone who's played Red Faction wants Geo-Mod in every other game they like, and everyone who's played Soldier of Fortune wants GHOUL, and everyone who's played Hitman wants corpse-tumbling dynamics...

Well, I did like that you were able to drive vehicles in NOLF (motorcycle and snowmobile). But that was integral to gameplay, I think. If Max Payne 2 has vehicle options I'd have to deal with it accordingly. [considers the Hummer]...Mmmmm, a Hummer. Or even a Range Rover. images/icons/smile.gif Ah well...

this sounds intriguing. taking a noisy dirtbike ride through central park, taking a car ride around chinatown, driving a panel truck through little italy, and maybe a oh, um yeah so what's your opinion?

whoa man, dynamics are sweet. when you got some a-hole brother on your nerves, it feels good to let off some steam and shoot somebody

I'd like to make a Toyota Supra for my mod, but that'll be hard images/icons/wink.gif

All I really want in Max Payne 2 is 3D textures and pain skins. Maybe higher polycounts too. Whatever else Remedy can think of that would be a cool addition is fine with me in general.

I played Soldier Of Fortune...then I stopped.

"Corpse-tumbling dynamics". That sounds really funny. images/icons/grin.gif

whoa man, corpse tumbling dynamics aren't funny they're realistic! having a gun toting jerk take one of your 9mm's and swing back from the impact is anything but hilarious.

After playing NOLF again and again, corpse tumbling dynamics seems a necessity for me now. Yes, please, make my corpse tumble.

Yeah.. I can imagine Max riding one of those.. and juggling 6 Berettas while at it, firing each one before throwing it again. images/icons/grin.gif

Skeez187: 3D textures? Aren't they a bit of a next gen thing? Most game developers won't jump into the tech bandwagon before pretty much every piece of hardware out there supports the feature.

If you killed an enemy on a set of stairs in NOLF, it would go through a canned animation of rolling down the stairs. In Hitman, the instant someone died, their bodies became "dead-weight" (so to speak) and the physics engine affected how they moved. There were some instances of ultra-cool with Hitman's death physics system, but I prefer NOLF's scripted death sequences.

Skaven is talking about the "corpse tumbling dynamics" in Hitman: Codename 47.

Not exactly. Technically, there are death animations. But the physics engine in Hitman rocked! Look:

chasing a train (french connection) to snuff out somebody would be fun. after all max drove in comic sequences. or you could get that benz the russian had. or one like it.
