Joe... Progress on new installer?

A week or so ago, we were talking about problems installing eDuke with Kill-a-ton and East Meets West versions of 1.5. Has anyone solved the problem yet? Is 3DR going to do anything about it?

I'm investigating it. It's a low priority item. I have to recover original versions of these things. The Wal-Mart version is one we don't even have at 3DR, and we cannot locate a usable copy of Killaton.

I probably won't do anything about it until v2.1 anyway.

Joe, if you want, I can post the directory listing of the \Atominst\ directory on my Kill-A-Ton CD

A Note on that walmart version(or any censored version)

Since all the censored versions can be "unlocked" and updated to the full US version. you would only need to add the east meets west and kill-a-ton cds.

Note: Walmart CD + official unlock patch = Full US + eduke patch. That method works.

anyhow anyone that has those two cds should post the cd directory.

Don't bother - Matt and I have worked out what we're going to do. The 2.0 patch will remain as it is. We'll do something different for 2.1.

while everyones waiting, shouldn't photon man's installer or eduke2.0a be relased for the kill a ton and east meets west users?

Cosidering the next release of eduke will totaly make v2.0 /v2.0a worthless...

(I'm assuming your not going to patch the next eduke with just updating files, but rather release the entire package again)

Joe3dr, you should also consider combinining all 3drs duke patchs in a single installer than can detect which patch to use to update duke.

GT BUILD patch - I examined this and its pretty much just a copy of the directory and not an installer... could you consider making an installer that can detect the cd?
1- users without the cd, won't beable to install the missing build and tools.

oh ya forgot, last i checked 3dr does not have the walmart patch listed, that once was or is at GT.
