View Full Version : Say what you think...
Just (though almost) have finished my first ever created prefab for max payne. Just wanted to hear oppinions about it. Say what you think. Is it worth for anything? Textures are from Max Payne 2.. This prefab is though still missing collision detection and so forth, only model is about ready

Excellent. http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/icons/thumbsup.gif
Are you going to make it dynamic?
To Joonas, yep that's the idea. There are still some issues with geometry though (that bottle is causing me an awful headache with its geometry) . At current state it is dynamic but still missing physics and possibly some animations and etc...

Nicely done. Although itr does look like the prefab may be concave, in which case you will have a bitch of a headache trying to make it dynamic.

Wouldn't he just need to generate a bounding hull or a convex hull for it? (Can't remember what it's called.
Btw the water coolor rocks, is the water jug transparent?
It would be kick-ass if you could have it so when you knock it over, the jug breaks open and splashes water everywhere!

yeppers, I did one too but lost it, yours is really nice
I don't think the one released in the objects lv2 is identical to the one used in the game?
Remedy's bottle needed a neck and the water level had a piece that was supposed to move down? But then the texture for the bottle has a water level which looked silly after the cooler went physical.
Exciting effort, more more more! *G*
(MP1 had nice bubbles)
er uh how's it look next to a character in game?
Nope the one in objects.lv2 isn't the same. There is a objects.lv2? haven't even opened it http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Though here is the ingame picture of this object. Tried to make it in some scale (can't remember exact height guess is about above 160cm). Water jug is not transparent. Remedys textures (2 of them) are being used in this prefab. That is why it might look similiar as the one in objects.lv2. What comes into dynamic, I think just adding basic physics to this object. I try to keep it as simple as possible.
VERY nice.
Once it's all done I would love to host it on the upcoming site, maxpaynedev.com
I'm looking for anyone with any prefabs to send them over to petepap@gmail.com for hosting on the maxpaynedev.com site, full credit will be given http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Keep up the great work, looks really good.

Looks good. The water jug is quite smaller than ones I'm used to seeing, but I'm sure there's more than one style.

That's my take as well. Looks nice, but the water jug is way too small.

There's one in my school that doesn't even have a water jug on top. It's internal. Looks smooth and nice. I like it!
