Dude, what you're asking for requires more than a skin, it requires a model. A whole, new, model, and new bones, and all that ****** because Deadpool's a whole lot bigger than little maxie payne.

And P.S. : YOU NEED MORE THAN "I THINK THE MERC WITH A MOUTH WOULD BEE GOOD IN THIS GAME!"!!!!

No one is entitled to noobie requests.

No. You are. Scuzz has a BS and BS, and a Masters in Sarcasm and Toilet Humor.

But what I want to know is, why are you not happy with the model as it is?

Please, if there were qualifications in sarcasm I would definetly have a PhD.

Fact of the matter is with the community being at the stage it is at you are going to have one hell of a time finding someone who will just sit up and make you something because you asked. Regardless of how nicely the request was phrased or how many cherries were on top.

Serious question Scuzz:

What "stage" is that? I am not sure what you are talking about?

After the beginning of Max Payne modding a lot of people got messed over by random people saying "make this for me" or by starting too many projects etc. Now it seems to have settled down to a level where our eyes have been opened to the difficulty and level of commitment required to make anythng substantial for the community. People are less inclined to just put aside their own projects to make a skin on a random person's whim.

I agree with scuzz for the ''stage''.

if you read the topics from all date since the beginning of mp2 modding, you will notice that at firts was the question about the engine.

Now comes the questions about maxed2.

After, it was the waiting for the bones (with a lot of question on when it will come). During this period, a mod came out, cinema, the best mod without new animation . So people start doing little tweak mod, waiting for the bones.

One day, the bones came out, and people start to anounce mods with new animation and all the stuff (can't remember one of them seen the daylights).
Questions about the compatibility with 3dsmax 6 and 3dsmax 5 and milkshape starts to appear.

Then some people made teams, and they announce what everybody wanted, tc. Those team ?rarely? ask for help, except for people to join the team. Some people still ask question for small mod, tweak.

and now, we are in the ''stage'' where people post to gives idea about a mod they won't make. Some others ask for people to do an entire mod for them. Some simply ask for ''little'' things, like a model or a skin. They can't do it because they don't have the tools (3dsmax and photoshop). Sometime people ask Joonas http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif to make some pfx, because they don't have talent http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

maybe a better term then ''stage'' could be ''age''. Because it is a kind of evolution.

I actually for once agree for Scuzz. Making a mod takes so much time, patience and energy, I cannot begin to imagine how much of it gets poured into a game where you have to satisfy the customers who are BUYING the game and now downloading it for free.

To be honest...I've talked to several and at this point...most of us are working on "personnal" mods. Some have teams..some don't. Right now I'm putting together a beta to upload to fileplanet this month. The beta was done back in July but I got tired of sitting in front of the PC so I've just now started to get back into modding this game. So I have about 2 1/2 levels made so far.

I'm sure thats where several people are now...but 50 - 70 % who take a break never come back. So we are almost back to the stages where MP1 modding was last year, but without Ken Y....but Froz has really suprised me.

Plus alot of the MP1 rookies are experienced and still around working hard...look at Aztec. I remember when he first made "funky" looking models in Milkshape. Kozak bros, Sayantan, Uisor, Joonas, and many others all are still here and active. Not to mention the "MPHQ modders". Don't forget BKG (working on requim) and Co&Co (who I think, made the best MP1 level ever). Maybe someone can convince Carl Shedd to convert his levels...I tried..guess he's busy :P
