Matrix Mods...

Remember when I started I made that lil matrix skin tweak? http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. Well, do you remember when I said in the kung-fu post that a sea of Matrix mods would flow in?

I think I'm right. Just today, I've seen two matrix mods pop up. Each using kung fu 1.0 in some way.

The 1st. - Close to Truth

Close to Truth has Jokke_r's Lobby, tons of "super-moves" and some kung fu stuff too. It has some great ideas and some of the anims are great too. But, I think some of the anims should be applied to other button combinations. Other than that, it's a great start, and will (along with others to come) keep me from releasing a new ETM with only kung fu added.

Check it out at Max Payne Zone (http://maxpayne.gamigo.de/) , you're bound to like at least one of the moves.

The 2nd. - My-MaTrIx-CoNvErSiOn

My-MaTrIx-CoNvErSiOn , is downloading right now, so I dunno what to say about it yet, but from the credits*, it has enough stuff to have fun with. Its at Levels 4 You (http://www.levels4you.com/sections/maxpayne2/).

* BTW, the author credited me with a Ghost model, which I didnt make, the people who made DeepBlue did.

Anyway, no more requests for ETM v2 are needed, because the new Max Payne's Matrix-Wave has begun.

havent played yours yet murph, but "close to truth" was actually decent...of course it needs lots of work, but it had some cool kung fu moves and the such. if they keep working on it by the time it gets to version 1 or 2 itll be great.

there tell me wat you think. The jump button you use it to dodge bullets it dose work and could you tell me if the intro works (pick intro on the main menu) and the ragdoll iam proud of that. Closer to Truth is really nice (the Bullet Dodging!!!!).
My Matrix is a bit big (120mo!!! http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif ) , maybe you have to delete some levels (like house, subway or underground. Chateau and Breaking Daylight are too beautiful http://forums.3drealms.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/love.gif )

I still haven't been able to DL "Close to the Truth" - only the "matrix conversion" - I really wanna try out "CTTT" and Gamigo doesn't seem to like me much.. any other suggestions.. :s?

CTTT is good. but it has many bugs. if these bugs were fixed it would be amazing.

first off- the special palm/punch move is too weak.
-there is no regular kung fu seperate from teh special moves
-the guns are too weak
-the side kick(without fire) is too weak as well as the back flip kick.
-not enough levels


somethings i really like about the mod
-the fire jumpkick is the greatest move ever. i sent a guy like 50 feet back. it ruled.
-the bullet dodge is awesome.
-the jumping is good
-music is great


that'd be cool if those things were fixed in a new version, because then the mod would own.
