Whenever I add a sprite or wall design the back of it is pink! Is there anyway to change this?

Don't worry. The pink will appear as black or transparent in the game. For example, if a wall has a fan texture, the pink will be black as there's nothing behind it. If there is, it will turn transparent.
...At least that's what I think happens... Anyone correct me?

If you're talking about sprites that you've created, then your problem is that you've used the wrong magenta for your background color. It might look like the right color, and it might be the color that automatically showed up as the background color when you converted a given tile into a bitmap, but it's the wrong color nevertheless. Open your artwork up in whatever program you use to create new tiles, and see if there is another magenta that looks to be the same color as what you're currently using, and replace the existing color with this one. That will probably solve the problem for you.

Another way to fix it is to use the program caleld editart.exe
hit 'v' to browse all the images, find the one that you have and then open it (use "enter")
move your cursor over the colour that isn't coming out translucent (the pink colour).
Hit "backspace". (this selects the translucent colour in the editor)
now hit "c" to change the pink in the image to the translucent pink.
Hit "escape" and select save when it asks you to.
Go back to build and it should come out clear.
