Max wins GOTY award from VE

Recently, the gaming site Voodoo Extreme ran a poll asking users what game they thought should be action game of the year. The poll has ended, and the VE users voted Max Payne the best action game of 2001!

Max beat out other big name titles such as Serious Sam, Operation Flashpoint, & Return to Castle Wolfenstein! Check out the poll results (http://www.ve3d.com/poll.taf?action=archives&pollid=99) to see how it all broke down.

No. It was released early this year.

Well, RTCW sure as hell wasn't a runner-up, I'd say Operation Flashpoint or something should be there. Ghost Recon maybe but I guess that wasn't out at the time.

RTCW sp is done in old skool fashion. It's strength is in the multiplayer which is a more refined Counter-Strike style of gameplay. A game that's only been out a few weeks has alot of catching up to do when compaired to the likes of Max Payne.
