Troubles with Max Payne

When I try to play max payne the game quits in the load screen.Or I can play the tutorial and the introduction level but not the other levels.And sometimes the game displays the following error message:

Try reinstalling the game.

I reinstalled it.the game still doesn't work

You may need a new copy of the game.

Try patching the game to version 1.05. If that doesn't work, update your vid card drivers.
Also, do you have a legal version of the game of all games?

well i tried to patch it but it makes the game quit in the "entering game" load screen.
