I know OpenGL BuildTouch does it for Duke3D v1.3, but can it be done in v1.4/1.5? Appreciate any information.

Why not just use eDuke? If the thing is for 1.5, and you need 1.5 to install eDuke, why not just take advantage?

The problem is, eDuke is very discriminative. You can only install it on v1.5, so if you have v1.3 - tough luck. If you have v1.4 - spend more precious time downloading and patching it up to v1.5. eDuke is also very strict about modified versions, and that would eliminate a lot of potential players.

I'll dig up the code I used for oglbt. I ended up using a run time version for the first release of nwiv ( http://www.dukeworld.com/nw4 ).

Firstly I should ask though if you have a C compiler.

Oh yeah, even though eDuke is a bit picky, if you start early with it for you TC, it doies make things easier later on, and the AUTO-Run image now works (that is why I like it).

JSG to be fair it is the installer not Eduke that is picky. If you can get hold of an exe then it'll not care.
I don't understand why you couldn't have done this Joe, and if you continue with the installer malarky then you could at least disable the CD check. If one is good enough for you then you don't need the other too. Checking once should be enough.

It kinda sucks tho that eDuke hates your Duke3d.exe if you have the "no cd" patch installed, too bad there wasnt a cd patch for eDuke...

If you have the cd-patch installed, just reinstall duke back over it.

After that all you have to do is have your CD in the drive. It only checks it once. Then you can take it out, put your music cd back into it, alt tab to windows and hit play.

If you are really that desperate, install eduke, then edit the exe or copy one big file so it won't search for the cd anymore
