Floor over roof

I build a room and then i want to have a stair and a room on top of the first one. How is it possible to build like that? I am stupid or something ?

You should get the map editing FAQ by Jonah Bishop (formerly by Brett Gmoser). There is a section on room-over-room just like you want to build.

Can you tell me a URL where I could find a copy of this map editing FAQ by Jonah Bishop? So far I've found FAQs on editart and confile editing, but none on actual level building except for the bundled BUILDHLP file, which isn't that much use.
