I will bløgg about Formula 1 and TV shows.
2008 F1 Monaco GP Race: Hamilton floats to the top while Sutil gets mugged by a Finn
What a disaster for Adrian Sutil, he was in fourth place and had been fast throughout the very wet race in Monaco when Kimi Räikkönen momentarily lost control of his Ferrari out of the tunnel and hit poor Sutil in the rear. Sutil had to retire while Räikkönen could continue, but he only managed 9th place in front of Fernando Alonso.
Hamilton won the day, and the race was dramatic. It started damp if not wet, and then the downpour started. Hamilton and Alonso both hit the barriers, but they only had punctures. Coulthard crashed and Bourdais crashed into the back of Coulthard's car. Rosberg crashed most spectacularly though, after being fast all day.
Heidfeld struggled all day and finished 4 laps behind the car in front of him.
Hammy won and drove like a champ, Kubica impressively got second and Massa got third, just as impressively when you take into account that he doesn't like the circuit and that he isn't really a wet weather specialist.
Anyway, I will not forget the scene of Adrian Sutil bending over at the back of the Force India garage, head in his hands being comforted by a mechanic. Utter desperation and very, very sad. It is inspiring when a small team can do great things, like when Takuma Sato in his Super Aguri overtook Fernando Alonso's McLaren in Canada last year.
Next race is in fact the Canadian Grand Prix and if the race last year is any guide, this year's race (without TC and EB) will be just as dramatic. Hopefully, there won't be such a heavy crash as the one Kubica had, though.
